Digby powering Venda mobile site
Austin mobile commerce developer
Digby has signed up one of the the world's largest on-demand eCommerce providers, New York-based
Venda.
Founded by former
Pervasive Software Inc. CEO Dave Sikora in 2007, Digby powers mobile sites for mega companies including 1-800-Flowers, Wet Seal, Arandell and
SkyMall. The company purchased Seattle-based
Movaya Wireless Inc. last November and has been on the growth fast-track. This week, Digby hired a powerhouse executive team to continue that movement.
The Venda mobile site is a feature-rich version of its Venda Enterprise eCommerce platform, and will allow its customers to integrate Digby and Venda services. The mobile sites can be used with iPhone, iTouch, iPad, BlackBerry and Android devices and use location-targeting and time-specific technology. Merchants can make special offers through the site, allow bar code scanning for price comparison, manage wish lists, check order status and check product availability.
Venda's clients include
Tesco,
The Metropolitan Museum of Art,
Superdrug,
JVC,
Urban Outfitters,
Conde Nast and
Jimmy Choo, among others.
